Assets package

You can export the social media post as an Assets package: a ZIP archive with all the files you need to publish the post in the social network.

The ZIP archive has a flat structure: all files are in the archive root directory.

Here's an archive structure example of a post with one regular slide and one video slide:

.
├─001_Instagram_Facebook post (1_1)_1080x1080.jpg
├─002_Instagram_Facebook post video (1_1)_1080x1080.mp4
├─002_Instagram_Facebook post video (1_1)_1080x1080.poster.jpg
├─alt-text.docx
├─caption.docx
└─references.docx

Slide images

For each regular slide, eWizard takes a screenshot of the slide at its size from structure.json.

  • Format

Select the PNG or JPG image format when you export the post.

  • Resolution

By default, the images are saved at double resolution: a 1080×1080 slide becomes a 2160×2160 image.

We recommend keeping the double resolution. Social networks resize and compress every uploaded image on their side. When a network scales a large image down to its display size, small text and thin lines stay sharp. When it scales a small image up, they get blurry. For example, Instagram displays images about 1080 pixels wide: a 2160×2160 image is scaled down and stays sharp, while a 1024×768 slide saved at the original resolution is scaled up and loses sharpness. The cost of the double resolution is a larger archive.

To change the resolution, set the device pixel ratio in the screenshoter.dpr field of the settings.json file.

  • File names

The file name consists of the slide order number, the slide name, and the slide size. For example, 001_LinkedIn post (1_1)_1080x1080.jpg. The characters that aren't allowed in file names, such as / or :, are replaced with _.

Videos

For each video slide, eWizard adds the following files instead of the screenshot:

  • The video file from the wiz-video component.

  • The poster image of the video with the .poster suffix in the file name. The poster is added only if the wiz-video component has the poster property.

Documents

The archive includes the following documents in the DOCX format:

DocumentContent
caption.docxThe post caption as plain text. The emoji are kept, and the references are converted to superscript numbers, for example, ¹˒² or ¹⁻³.
alt-text.docxThe alternative text of the regular slides. Each alternative text is under the name of the image file it belongs to.
references.docxThe numbered list of all references from the references.json file. The references are listed in the same order as in the file, so their numbers match the numbers on the slides and in the caption.

A document isn't added to the archive if the post has no content for it. For example, if the post has no caption, the archive doesn't include caption.docx.
