Major release scope ​

The eWizard Q3 release advances eVa AI content generation, expands supported content types in eWizard, and delivers targeted improvements across authoring, review, and collaboration workflows.

eVa AI becomes significantly more precise and transparent: email outlines now use approved Veeva Vault claims word for word, with source references and claim traceability built in from the start. New interaction controls let users stop and revise responses mid-generation, refine text in context, and configure the language model used for translation. Smarter image search and request type recognition further improve the relevance of AI-generated suggestions across the workflow.

On the authoring side, social media posts are now fully supported as a content type in eWizard, covering the complete workflow from creation and AI-assisted content generation to MLR review and distribution. AI-powered PDF-to-email conversion turns static PDF designs into editable eWizard emails, while image text editing from PDF sources lets you run text recognition, edit, and translate text directly from PDF documents. Animated banners gain scrollable containers for long-form content and snapshot-based PDF materials for more controlled MLR submissions. Nested grid layouts unlock more complex, multi-level design structures, while enhanced Viewer collaboration tools, updated keyboard shortcuts, a new target system for broadcast emails publishing, and a range of targeted authoring improvements round out the release.

eVa AI ​

Request type recognition ​

Enhanced eVa AI handling of claim-related and informational requests. The Conversation (Answer) agent determines the request type to provide information that better matches your needs.

Content origin identification ​

Distinguish eVa AI-generated content from assets retrieved from your knowledge base using the default eVa icon and the GENERATED BY AI label. This helps you assess AI-generated suggestions before using them in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements. Configuration required

Topics generation ​

Generate topics for email outlines and interactive emails based on information from the knowledge base. Each suggestion can include a title and a short description of its focus, helping you identify the central idea and supporting content. You can also request a specific number of topics, explore different approaches to presenting the requested content, and generate additional ideas that differ from those already suggested.

Response generation control with Send/Stop ​

Manage eVa AI responses throughout the generation process. Stop an in-progress response, revise the prompt, and submit it again when needed. Cancelled requests remain available in the chat history for reference. Configuration required

Context-driven text improvement ​

Improve text within content items in the eVa AI chat. Select a text component and use the Refine text quick suggestion button to generate replacement-ready text based on documents from your knowledge base, template metadata, and content context. Configuration required

Clarifying questions in eVa AI chat ​

eVa AI asks clarifying questions in the Editor chat when your initial prompt lacks sufficient information to complete the request. Answer these questions to provide the missing context and help the Conversation (Answer) agent generate a response that matches your intended outcome. Configuration required

Create banner layouts with eVa AI based on predefined text component properties. The Copywriter agent generates text that fits the available space and adjusts font size and line height when needed, helping reduce manual adjustments.

More relevant image suggestions with eVa AI ​

eVa AI now delivers more relevant image suggestions when generating content or responding in the chat. It uses your prompt, image metadata and descriptions, and text contained in images to improve knowledge base searches and identify visuals that better match your content.

Source references for AI-generated email outlines ​

eVa AI now adds source references to every statement in generated email outlines, linking each statement to the matching source document in Veeva Vault PromoMats. This makes it easier to trace generated content back to its source and verify the supporting information during review.

Email outlines built from approved claims word for word ​

eVa AI now builds email outlines using approved Veeva Vault claims exactly as they are stored, without paraphrasing or silently changing approved wording. Claims are clearly highlighted in the email outline, with their exact text, Veeva reference number, and claim details available for review. Each claim also carries its associated reference documents, keeping the generated content traceable from the start of the MLR process.

eVa AI uses the full source document or relevant pages when generating content from source materials, helping produce more accurate and coherent text.

Enhanced claim traceability and verification with eVa AI ​

eVa AI now provides more precise source tracking for generated claim. Each claim can be linked to the exact page or anchor where its supporting evidence appears, so you can quickly identify and verify the relevant information in the source document.

When several claims use the same reference document, the References popup clearly groups the claims while showing the corresponding page or anchor for each one. This makes it easier to trace claims back to their sources and verify supporting information during content review.

Smarter interactive email generation ​

When generating an interactive email with eVa AI, the Copywriter agent now divides the outline into logical sections. For each section, it selects suitable blocks and images, adapts blocks when needed, and populates the template with the outline content and appropriate images. The agent also checks the generated email for layout and styling issues and makes the necessary corrections.

Social media in eWizard ​

Manage social media posts in eWizard throughout the workflow—from creation to MLR review in Veeva Vault PromoMats and distribution. The content item supports posts with images, videos, and text in platform-specific formats. eVa AI helps generate, edit, and localize required content. Use the Publisher and Export services to deliver social media to the target system for MLR review, distribution, and further use. Configuration required

AI-powered conversion of PDF into editable emails ​

Turn static PDF designs into editable eWizard emails with AI-powered PDF-to-email conversion. Upload a PDF, select the page you need, and convert it into an eWizard-compatible email, ready for preview, editing, localization, sharing, export, and publishing for MLR and distribution. Configuration required

Animated banners ​

Scrollable content for animated banners ​

Animated banners now support scrollable containers, making it easier to include long-form content—such as Prescribing Information (PI)—without increasing the banner size or compromising the layout.

You can add several components to a scrollable container and configure automatic scrolling as part of the banner animation. The scrolling behavior is fully integrated with the animation workflow, giving you precise control over when and how content scrolls during playback. Template update required

Snapshots and improved PDF materials ​

Animated banners now support snapshots, giving you greater control over the banner states included in PDF materials for MLR review. Add snapshots directly to the timeline to capture the most relevant animation states, with visible text and links preserved in timeline order.

Snapshots are automatically included when exporting animated banners to PDF or publishing them to Veeva Vault PromoMats for approval. Scrollable containers are also captured with their full content and associated links. If no snapshots are available for a banner size, a single full-banner view is included instead.

ModCon 2.0: Nested grid layouts and design ​

You can now add a GRID component inside a grid-based structure to create more flexible and complex layouts. Build nested layouts by adding your own grid areas and components, then customize their styles and sizes to match your design requirements. Template update required

Image text editing from PDF sources ​

The Edit image text popup now supports uploading PDF documents as text sources. eWizard Editor recognizes text and makes it editable while retaining the original page as the background, including any images. You can customize the text and save the result as an image. Reopen the saved image in the Edit image text popup for further editing. Configuration required

Conversions in Publish manager ​

Publish manager now includes a CONVERT tab, giving you a central place to track all the conversion operations performed in eWizard. Launch a conversion and continue working—the CONVERT tab records the status of each operation in the background, so you can check progress, review past conversions, and access their details at any time instead of waiting for an email notification.

Broadcast email publishing to Acquia Campaign Studio ​

Use Acquia Campaign Studio to store, manage, and distribute broadcast emails. You can choose whether to publish an email as a template email for use in automated marketing activities or as a segment email for a specific group of contacts. Configuration required

  • Support both automated and targeted email distribution.

  • Preserve image links to their source locations after publication.

Improvements ​

  • Citation details are now collected automatically when reference documents are added to the library. The citation data is harvested as part of the standard document processing workflow, providing the information needed to generate properly formatted citations in AI-generated content.
  • eVa AI translation now supports several language models. In addition to the default ChatGPT model, Claude is available as an alternative, allowing you to choose the model that best fits your translation quality requirements. Configuration required
  • Decomposed text now more accurately matches the source document and follows its original reading order. Articles, word order, hyphens and dashes, special characters, and curly quotes are preserved, while elements are ordered from top to bottom and, within the same section, from left to right. This makes it easier to compare decomposed content with the original document and reduces the need for manual proofreading.

  • Enhanced commenting in Viewer for a more flexible and collaborative review experience:

    • Visually highlight specific areas and elements when adding comments using annotation tools with customizable colors and opacity.

    • See comment updates in the COMMENTS sidebar in real time across browser tabs and for everyone viewing the same content item, without refreshing the page.

    • Resolve comments regardless of who added them, making it easier to keep discussions organized and up to date. Configuration required

  • Select several elements more intuitively with updated keyboard shortcuts. Use Ctrl to select multiple blocks, placeholders, or components on the content item layout, while Shift remains available for selecting a range of elements on the Tree tab. Apply common styling options to multiple selected elements to update them consistently.

  • Control how images captured with the Desktop view image option are displayed in the mobile version of emails, email fragments, and email briefs. Keep images at their desktop width or scale them proportionally to fit the mobile screen.

  • Review how citation merge tags are replaced with references and footnotes from Veeva Vault fragments in the exported PDF file or VVPM PDF document for rep-triggered emails. Configuration required

  • In the Create new popup, the available Purpose values are now defined for each email type. The available blocks in the content item are determined by the Purpose value you select. Template update required

  • Editing animated banners is now more intuitive. When you select an element in the hierarchical tree, the timeline automatically moves to a moment when the selected element is visible on the layout. This allows you to immediately see and edit the selected element without manually searching through the timeline, making it easier to work with banners that contain several overlapping animated elements.

  • Cross-channel popups in grid-based e-Detailer templates can now be resized and repositioned directly on the layout. Use the inline resize controls to adjust the popup size, or drag it to the required position. For precise placement, enter exact width, height, and coordinate values on the Styling tab.
